The Diwali Clash have started at the box office with SLB’s Ranbir-Sonam Kapoor starrer Saawariya off to a bumper start at advance booking counters all over India.
Sawariya has registered 70%-80% advance in Bombay, which is phenomenal. Rarely has a film featuring newcomers recorded such collections in advance. This exhibits the brandname Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s built at the box office after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, and Black all emerging
grossers in disparate genres.
Given the advance, Saawariya are set to open to bumper response over the weekend. The post Diwali weekend collections will likely be the factor then in separating the two as far as box office winnings go.
